I think it was a big deal because it really saw a great success when, everything said and done, it was organized totally with zero budget. Although the organizers, i can't say that i'm left out of it, could have done better (not that much better, but better still). The initial stages were like OMGWTHBBQ because as always we worry and worry. But after pulling strings and gathering information on potential teams, it wasn't that bad. We had to ban some players who were just too damn imba to play...
*Like Johan "24", you see him just fooling around and there was once he and magic were having a showdown at the red car at the defending spawn in crash. This 24 was just dodging all the bullets and stuff and acting as if he had 90% evasion (oh, that's like having 6 butterflies in your inventory..gg)..of course he was actually just cleverly using the car as cover...then he just no scoped magic. Poor kid, kena bully by this 24. That's why you're BANNED JOHAN! MUAHAHAHA XD*
Pun intended, the ban list, no offense, really serves to make sure players were really set apart properly and not to allow any team that would like "OH this team sure gonna win" type situation. Okay, in the end [CN] Momo were like the situation said above, but i think if team Rx had joined and if KuKu Gaming had not ended up in the same bracket of the double elimination (such a coincidence), things would have been much more different. But undoubtedly, [CN] Momo was the favourite to win from the start of the competition. But...team Mmm, actually Pendulum in disguise (sneaky bastards), put up a very close fight against [CN] Momo. I'd like to congratulate all the teams who participated before i go on further into this ramble.
But did you guys watch the finals? WOW it was so close...i was marshalling for the match (well my feet were hurting from the anticipation, adrenaline and spending so much time standing and waiting and omg the crowd was just going wild) and i can say that Pendulum have come a long way since the last SRC tournament. No offense, but the previously these players were just one of those teams you would go on without giving much notice. But now, i can vouch for them that (if they keep up their training and teamwork like they did throughout NAT) they are going to give CIC7 (if they join) teams a run for their money. I'd like to say that they will definitely come in with a storm. Hey CN, i hope you guys join CIC7 too!
Let me think back...team Ascendent! They placed 4th in NAT. I'd say that's an achievement. I didn't think their very, very, very and some more very, laid back tactics would really work so efficiently. But wow, when i saw them play district, they actually managed to confuse [CN] Momo in the initial stages. With the new addition of Pangzie, previously known as Richie, a dude from Blitzone DJ, they managed to stabilize their line up after Ap0ng left for the US. Hey, all the best for team Ascendent in future tournaments. Please join CIC7 as well AHHAHA.
Gosh, this is turning up to be something like a promo for CIC7. Oh well it might as well be because CIC7 is one tournament worth joining. Please do join up.
Come to think of it, what is NAT all about? Come on, let's cheer for the amateurs! Really, let's cheer very very loud! Without them, seriously there is a very bleak future for COD 4 over here in this place we call home. We need to take care of them too. Carefully. They like babies, boys and girls, if we don't nurture them the right way, they might just decide to go drop the ball and play another ball game...which is just sad because COD 4 is such a cool game. Promod..but still cool (Damn, no c4! Oh but what's this? No scope is so imba!).
It's a fact. Keep COD 4 running and the interest peaking! Every now and then, somebody has to do something. lol....
