CIC7 Holland COD 4 Seeding Tournament

Well, boys and girls of Call of Duty 4, CIC 7 in Holland has started off with their group stages. Group stages for Enemy Territory started off in late January and is headed for a close very soon. While most Malaysians have been on holiday celebrating Chinese New Year or Valentine's Day or just having some fun during the break, the Call of Duty 4 group stages in Holland started off just a day after V-Day. Talk about a heck of a Valentine's Gift =D

If you want to take a look at Enemy Territory, which is going into playoffs soon(21st February, Central European Time) you can view it on the ESL website here.

Back to the main topic here, the Call of Duty 4 group stages started off just after Valentine's Day. So perhaps those who did celebrate late into the night had a rough start on the first day XD. The official groupings can be viewed on Esports Heaven, here. The live standings can be viewed on Tek-9 and Esports Heaven.

During group stages, the teams have been split into 8 groups and will play each other once. The top two of each group will move forward to a single-elimination playoff. The format is best of three with the standard mr12 mode. Basically, each team gets to play at least 5 matches for the tournament. Click here to read the official Crossfire announcement for the structure.

If you have read the rules and regulations for the CIC 7: Malaysian Edition, you will notice that the format we will be using is very similar. Though, if i'm not mistaken, the group stages for the Malaysian Edition will start and finish on the first day itself. The single map double elimination stage will start on the next day. From what I know, the group stages have been arranged in a way that teams will be playing non-stop throughout the tournament. Probably there will be a lunch break, but get ready for a zero pit-stop competition during group stages! Another difference in rules will be the veto system. Instead of using knife rounds, the Malaysian Edition will be using coin toss instead. (I will re-confirm the format and structure later on)

For the time being, get ready to rumble!

BTW you can look up the rules and regulations and other info for CIC 7: Malaysian Edition by clicking the banner at the top right of the sidebar (Just in case you haven't noticed yet XD)
